Dear all please suggest me which path I should select. Bank or Service provider?

Category: Technology

Im a computer engineer. Im working in a service provider company in my home country Bangladesh, my responsibilities included: installation and configuration of Cisco Networking devices like routing, switching and Cisco IP Telephony devices. Ive completed CCNA and CCVP (Cisco Voice). Now I got an offer from a BANK in IT division as an Officer rank. Im thinking about my future. Working in Service Provider is staying with latest Technology which is so fun. Working in bank means staying with money and no more updated technology.

Dear all please suggest me which path I should select. Bank or Service provider?

Though I do agree with what respondent "Roy A" answered, but as a person from Bangladesh what I saw is that in Bank it seeps away your energy and time. You become robot like personality. With ISP job you can possibly roam around in virtual world, if not in real outside ventures related with your job.

It is you to decide if you are an introvert (Bank would suit you) or an extrovert personality (ISP would suit you better). Make the plunge as your gut-feeling would suggest. Remember, sometimes we have to listen to our hunches, the so called unconscious mind that would give you th deciding vote when you are sitting on the fences and finds it difficult to take any side.

Wish you all the luck in whatever you have finally decided to do!

Its really up to you they both are good paths to take but which one do you feel is better for you not us.Take the responsibility,or chance to feel independent in making your own decision such like this because this will be your career not ours,so we shouldn't help you because you would be on one of these paths for a matter of time, and us helping would simply not be a good idea.
