Hello, I am currently filling in an application for Hot Topic, and one of the things is: "Tell us how you learn about music" What does this mean? How should I answer it?

The question is just that: How do you find out about new bands and artists? You could say you just run across them or your friends tell you about them, but that doesn't sound too impressive. My suggestion would be to let them know you first and foremost enjoy the local music scene and you love discovering new music and talent of all genres. Tell them you love music blogs and frequently visit music sites like elbo.ws, hypem.com, last.fm, and purevolume.com (feel free to look over those sites before you go into the interview so it looks like you've known about them all along). Don't forget to have a list of your favorite bands/artists ready if they ask! |
