Would you choose a career that you like or a career that pays you well?

Im a senior and im kindof in a depressing mode cuz id what to study. Im thinking of something that i like maybe some art stuff but i also have the money factor so that would be something that has to do with engineering. Im actually really good at school so i have both options i just dont know if its worth it to sacrifice happiness for wellness.

By looking at your writing skills, I believe that you should choose something that you like because then your interest will last longer. The chances of you dropping out of something you like over money are less. Or, double major. That way you have the option of continuing with one if the other does not work out. Good luck.

Maybe You Should Look For A Career That Pays Well And You Like. Just Look Hard.

Do what you like, no amount of money will make you happy if your speding 40 hours a week in misery. You only live once and since we spend half of our lives at work you don't want to waste that time being a slave to the dollar. You ought to choose a career that you enjoy so it doesn't feel so much like work and be able to be surrounded by people who share a common interest. Besides if you can't find a good paying job as an artist you can always be an art teacher, you won't be rich but you will be stable and happy.

Something I like of course. Do you really want to be that guy that dreads waking up every morning to do something you don't like. Plus money cannot buy you happiness unless you are already happy. In a job you like you get your own reward. But when it comes to art and engineering the to are to completely different. One is creative and the other is logical. Find which one you are really good at. Engineering may sound like something boring but there are many people who enjoy it. Art is also very hard to make a living, i've heard people loosing a lot by going into it. So if you are not talented at art the most you can probably get is an art teacher.
