Will getting fired from one job and quitting without notice affect my chances for getting a new job?

I got fired from a job in 2010. I was a great employee but the manager found an excuse to get rid of me. Then in a most recent position I quit because the pay was lextremely low and the the environment unprofessional. How would that affect future jobs I apply for?

To be honest, it seems that the only real way these situations can hinder you from getting a new job is if you try to use them as references for your new job. That's the thing that sucks about leaving a job in a negative way.. you can't even use the experience you gained from it on your resume because you'll most likely have no good references since you left in a bad way. It's best to just omit those bad jobs from your resume UNLESS you have some really good references from there who won't stab you in the back.

I experienced the same thing last year when I was let go a very very good job for budget reasons that were no fault of my own. Everyone loved me there and I left in a good way with everyone's blessings, plus some awesome references. I got a new job, but it SUCKED.... they ended up firing me for no reason.. but no problem, I simple omitted that horrid job from my resume and used my old references in my next job search :] Now I've got the best job I've ever had in my life! It's like I never even worked in or was fired from that hellhole, lol.
