Why did Best Buy ask me to bring a void check?

I went into Best Buy and asked for a job application, they told me to fax over a resume and do the online interview. I did, and within 2 hours they called me and told me they wanted me to come in for an interview and asked me to bring my social insurance number and banking info including a void check because they do direct deposit for employees. Does this mean I'm pretty much hired?

If they do decide to hire you and you accept the job, having the relevant paperwork with you will speed up the process. We ask all employees who wish to have direct deposit to give us a voided check. Good luck and I hope you get the job! |
