If you are old enough to work, you should have been and still should be (or start) doing some Volunteer work in your community. That is the best way to network with people who might refer a job your way, develop skills you can use in future employment, gain the respect of potential employers, plus volunteer supervisors are highly motivated to provide good references to their volunteers.

Everyone who is over the age of 14, and especially adults who are unemployed should be doing some volunteer work at least two half days a week. Volunteerism can lead you right into a career or opportunity.

I got a job 30 years ago; it was the worst thing I ever did.

Best thing I did on the work front, was take charge and start my own business.

You don't have to make this complicated, there are many small business ventures you can start from home that can start to bring in money quickly.

You're already familiar with the internet; I suggest you look for something you could do for others along that line.

A good starting point would be to think about things you could do to help other small businesses in your area.

Also try to make your chosen field something you are really into, its much more fun than working 9 to 5 for someone else.

good luck

Hi,

Job Markets can be pretty difficult specially if you are looking for assignments in a particular field or function. If you are simply just looking for any jobs regardless of the role or field or just a part time job, it should be easier.

Where are you located? Sometimes that matters too because if you are a citizen of any of the GCC (Gulf Countries) it would be fairly easier to get a job since most companies operating in those countries would be required to employ a certain quota of local citizens.

Anyways, why dont you upload your CV on job portals like monster or any of the popular ones in your country? You can also browse through the job sections on job sites, there are a lot of jobs for freshly graduated candidates available. Local Part time jobs are always available, sales jobs would require communication and presentability and can earn you good incentives but its hard work. There are also office administration jobs available with small businesses that need a helping hand.

By the way, if you have not completed your graduation yet, I strongly would recommend that you pursue it and pursue it in a field of your interest. (I have learnt that from my mistake). Go for a career which matches your interests. Jobs in other sectors might make you better money but after a few years of working (in a sector you are not interested in), money will stop to be a motivator.
