Who do you ask to see if a place is hiring?

I was wondering....who exactly are you supposed to ask to see if a place is hiring.

I want to apply to Dunkin Donuts and it says walk in to see if they are hiring. However, when I go to Dunkin Donuts, I just see the regular workers there.....the ones that make and serve stuff. Do I ask them? SOme don't speak English well and I don't even know if the front line workers have the information.

So who am I supposed to contact about this? This is for a high school job by the way.

Most stores won't tell you they're not hiring to avoid the possibility of the appearance of discrimination - even if they're not hiring. Instead they'll tell you they're "always accepting applications." Just go in and ask for an application. If you speak to someone who seems to know what's going on, you can ask a little about what they may be looking for. If they're not hiring at all, you'll probably figure that out from the person's answers pretty quickly.

When you do a follow-up call, ask for the hiring manager. If he/she is not in, you can talk to the shift manager (or manager on duty) but that person may or may not know what's going on.

You never walk into a place and expect to speak to an HR manager or nay manager for that instance.

Walk in their and ask for an application form.

Do not give it to the serving staff they may misplace it for you or worse destroy it.

SO try to hand it to a manager or send it by post.
