Teaching--

Pros:

Wanted to do it since I was little

I have two inspirations for doing it

The subjects I would be teaching I would be passionate about

It would pay more than the other career I'm interested in pursuing

Cons--

More schooling

Horrible job market

Competitive

Some debt after college

Surgical Tech--

Pros:

Ability to get a degree without any debt afterward

Fast-paced and challenging

Cons:

Pay isn't too great

Competitive job market

Can someone give me a suggestion? As this point, I'm doing both. Surgical Technology, then hopefully teaching

WOW. I am impressed. You don't need our advise. We need your advise!

You just keep doing what your doing and everything will work out.

My daugher in law never thought twice about a teaching position and as she kept going forward everything just fell into place and she has been a special ed teacher for 9 years and she loves it (and she is excellent at what she does) like you she is Wonder Woman.

My hat is off to you my dear.

Peace

Well , You have to do what you love to do.

Something that no matter if theyu don't pay much.

You enjoy doing it and youll go for it.

i Think that you can even do both at the same time.

You can teach about surgical things.

Lol

But yaah, I thinkk there is teaching about surgery,

And combine both things that you wanna do together, and see the results =]

I dont see how it would be beneficial to do both..i would pick the one you really want to do..going to school to become a teacher isnt that bad..my sister is doing it right now and shes doing fine..I taught a FIG group in college and it was once a week but the grading, meetings, and all the extras out of the classroom takes up a lot of time!..if ur going to school to become a surgical tech make sure you are able to stand for hours during surgery it can be exhausting..and i would think of the future where do u want to see ur self in 5 years teaching in a class room or holding instruments for a surgeon..both are demanding jobs..but choose the one u will be satisfied in the long run..
