Where should I work, at the age of 17-18?

I turn 18 in September. I am looking for a job for the summer (one that hopefully I can even hang onto through the school year, as well).

I got a job at Dairy Queen a year ago but it only lasted a month... bad timing, because both of my parents were suddenly in the hospital, and I hated that job anyway so I quit to take care of my parents.

I applied to Old Navy today. It's kind of my ideal job (if there is one at this age.) Where else should I apply? What kind of jobs are available for older teens?

Perhaps a suitable job for teens age 17-18 years, more suited to work in a grocery store, clothing stores, cafes, or can only be employees of buildings .. provided there is a desire and intent in us, we will get a suitable job for teenagers our age ...


Hunting for a job is hard, especially if it's years since you last did it! I was jobless recently, but I found the website in the box below which is very helpful in many ways. By using their methods, in a month or so I soon got myself a job.

Try anything that requires just a high school diploma (assuming you have one). I'd also try to choose something relatively close to where you live/go to school. This will make your scheduling easier.
