When to expect a call after interview for job?

I'm curious how long does one wait AFTER an interview to know if they got the job or not?

It truly does depend on how many other applicants you are up against. Whenever possible, ask at the end of the interview when you should follow-up.

1) I would wait 7-10 days and then call. Tell them that you are still really interested in the position and wanted to check if they needed any additional information from you to make their hiring decision.

2) If they say they are still talking to other applicants, ask when you should follow-up again. If you haven't already sent a thank you note, send an email to remind the interviewer of your qualifications and how excited you are about the opportunity to work with the team.

3) Keep calling about every 7-10 days (or whenever they tell you to) until you hear one way or another. If they seem annoyed about the calling (but still haven't given you an answer), ask if email would be better for them.

And while it's true that *most* hiring decisions are made within two weeks, some can take a month or more if someone extra has to approve the hiring.

Keep going, and good luck!

Depends on how many applicants they have to cull out.

Well now days unless you are truly exceptional. Never.

Most businesses are not required to call you back or even tell you that you didn't pass the interview. Typically, it's about a week. If it's been over a week and they don't tell you where in the process they are, you probably didn't get it. After 2 weeks, it's over for sure!
