When applying for a job, how long should this be?

I'm filling out an online application for an after school job I really need and really want, and there's an essay part where I have to tell about a time when I learned something new. I don't want it to be too long and end up boring whoever reads it, but I don't want it to be too short and misrepresent myself or something. How many sentences/paragraphs should it be?

Two or three paragraphs. Tell them about something that relates to the job description. Something that they need that you can do. Tell them about your education. How it will help you in that job. What experience you may have that will help them look there best to there higher ups.. Don't run on and on get to the point. They don't want to hear anything other than what pertains to the job.Talk about your availability and dedication in what you do.. Always be curious and address them as Mr. or Mrs. Allow them to feel that you respect there authority. Let them know that your willing to learn any field that is needed to Fulfill the job.

Don't talk about pay in the first interview That comes in the next interview along with benefits.

Any employer does not want to dangle the carrot before they believe they have what they are looking for.

I've hired many and fired many. I want to know that I'm hiring someone that has me in mind.

I may be an a_ss But I know what I want. Any thing that allows me to look good I'm all for.

Dress for the job that you are inquiring about. Piercings other than the ears... Hide Tattoos. Unless they are obvious hide them.

Prove yourself before they are seen. I can fire for any reason. Yes any reason. but I will not with a dedicated employee.

But any reason I mean I will find a legal reason. It may not be the true reason but I can move them out and do.

I want people to help push my Business not hold me back.

Follow up with and inquiry in 5-7 days.

GL.

Job applications are usually tough - how should you fill them in? Should you follow them up when there is no answer? I suggest there's no true answer but the resource in the box below has some great instruction about this. It really helped me when I was completing job applications recently, in addition they have alternative help on job seeking.

It should be about 3 paragraphs in length.. the intro paragraph explaining a bit about yourself and why you would make a good candidate for the job. Then the body of the paragraph should explain your qualifications and why your qualfications match with the job qualifications. And the conclusion paragraph should summaraize your body paragrah briefly stating your highlited skill points and then end it with "I am looking forward to an opportunity to discuss why i am the candidate you are looking for" then leave a bit of space, one line saying "thank you for your time and consideriation".. next line saying "sincerly yours" then write your name underneath it.

Its basically like a cover copy.

good luck!
