I do not have a photo ID but am planning on getting one soon, all I have is my birth certificate, and I know my social security number. And I may have a job very soon.

You need government-issued photo ID (e.g. drivers license, US passport, etc), plus your actual Social Security CARD, not just a number. You must submit proper documentation along with your I-9 form proving that you are a US citizen or legal immigrant/visa holder who is duly authorized to work in the US. For insurance purposes or to prove you are legally old enough to work without a work permit under your state's child labor laws, they may require proof of date of birth. |
