I have a horse that i need to spend a lot of time with so i dont have too much time (i also babysit) but horses are expensive...anyone have any ideas for me?

Working at a dip n dots, or local ice cream shop. Also, like starbucks. Even clothes stores like old navy work too. |

At 14 I think babysitting is really the best way to go. I don't know if you can get a real job at that age (maybe it depends on your state?), and you can make decent money if you find a good paying family that needs a regular sitter or summer nanny. |

Any job will be time consuming, you can't just go in when you want. If you get a job at a place like the local grocery store or work at your pool's concession stand, etc. Then you get get about 7 bucks an hour. But you might be required to work 5 days a week. Probably not for 8 hours a day every day or anything, but Any job you get that pays enough to take care of a horse will take a lot of time. |

There are lots of potential issues for minors in work, many of them legal, parents have to be watchful about that. There is lots of assistance from the website in the box below on this subject, they also have assistance for all people who are searching for work, or who have to change careers. |

How about working in someone else's barn tending and caring for their horses? Dog walking or animal sitting in the summer would be good too - take care of someone else's animal while they are away on vacation could help you earn some money. |
