Im applying for a job and i wont let me move onto the next step with out a previous job # but i never had a job before so what number to put

For recent graduates or students looking for a job, I recommend their resume focus on academic achievements, skill set, certifications if any, and volunteer accomplishments. Use a skill set at the top of your resume, and list volunteer accomplishments under a heading such as "Leadership Activities". I'm gathering from your question that you are applying online, so in that case under previous employer, I would state your school name and put still attending or your graduation date. Another option is if you were a volunteer with an organization you put that under the company name, being certain to state "volunteer".
