While shopping at gilly hicks (abercrombie & fitch) I was offered to attend a group interview for a job. I'm 18, and I'm desperate for a job. I filled out an application and it was pretty sucky because I have no work experience :( but anywho, my group interview is on Tuesday, and I'm awfully nervous. I have no idea what to expect.

What is a group interview?

What will they ask?

How should I act?

And tips??

Id really love any adivce.

WHOA! i could totally help you!

i did one of these for Hollister ^^

okay well first a group interview is when they get other people who applied as well and sit them all together very nerve racking but WHATEVER WHATEVER WHATEVER YOU DO do NOT show your nervous side this is what they look for to see how you interact with others and handle answering questions infront of others believe it or not. Many people will be reserved while others will talk naturally and confident. Just show your relaxed and comfrontable with others and answering questions don't be too formal but don't be a slob!

and be ready to answer questions like

what kind of music do you like?

what kind of style do you like?

what do you like about there store?

your favorite artist?

how often do you visit there store?

What experience do you have with people?

What have you ever did that was great with people?

Have you ever been a leader of anything?

believe it or not they ask what music you like its a answer that determines your type of style and person.

i was totally nervous for my interview and bombed it horribly! but it was a learning experience so i'm glad i could help you ^^ the question that i failed horribly was

"what is your favorite music video" i was like uhhhhhhhhhh for about 3 minutes which is bad lol but yeah and make sure your smooth!!! like in your talking other people will try to out do you in speaking and practice saying your name cool XD like it sounds funny but seriously like practice you'll be surprised how some people just introduce themselves and mumble there name or not speak loudly or speak loudly but look stupid XD so just practice okay.

i wish you good luck!! ^^

In an interview of any kind you need to be self confident, cheerful and having a positive attitude. It completely depends on HR how he conducts the recruitment process. In group interview their might be the, possibility of group discussion on certain topic or something else. In group discussion who initiates and control the whole gets an edge. Here your leadership and communication skills are exposed. For more information you can see the following link.

All group interviews are not the same. Just stay focused on the company's vision. Go to that website and learn the mission statement and learn about the future of where this company is going.

You should demonstrate a sense of confidence of the product, the company, and customer service.

You are there to manage all three above especially customer service. If you don't have people skills, this job is not for you.
