What to dožI feel embarassed.?

So I recently got a volunteer position and an on-call staff (instructor) position at a summer camp. One of the programmers just complained to me about my unprofessional, annoying, confusing (I am aware of my communication problem) e-mails that I send to all of the programmers. I thought they were friendly and enthusiastic emails. Obviously they've been discussing about me. How should I deal with this. How should I act when I see them. It will feel akward.

2 solutions I came up with:

1) Act like nothing happened. Though I know the scar will still be there.

2ž‰Go up to them, apologize and explain to them why I send emails like that.

I'm not even going to put an unhappy face emoticon right now even though I'm urging to, it's "unprofessional."

OMG I have the same thing happen to me this summer. I volunteer at a local hospital a Children's hospital and my volunteer coordinator was replace by someone else 3 years ago and I thought she was really nice until I started e-mailing her. On one of my e-mails to her last summer I misspelled her last name but I was doing it from my iPhone and I don't know if you know but sometimes it changes things and if your typing fast you will go by it unnoticed. So I send this e-mail and like the rest of the summer she cut off my schedules including this summer I only have 1 and 1/2 days of volunteering now and I don't know why she says that I am unprofessional, annoying, and confusing.

The first email I sent her I wrote her a long paragraph which I though was decent explaining about the misspelled last name last summer and how I wanted more days. So she wouldn't answer me and we were already starting to volunteer that Monday (I sent her the email on Friday). So it was Monday and I decided to call her so when I did she went off on me she said why I had wrote such a long e-mail that when I e-mailed her she wanted it short and to the point and that was why she had cut down my schedule for things like this. I mean in my opinion I think she was wrong in all kinds of ways because that e-mail did not even contain anything offensive against her. So she then proceeded to send me an apology e-mail saying that she wanted to see how I did in the positions I was in and then she would see if she would add more. This doesn't only get me mad but it saddens me to see that every day well now only Thursday and Friday that I go in to the Volunteer office I see her giving off more hours to other volunteers. Sometimes I really want to cry.

The reason I think you should go with 2 is because it will not only show that you have accepted your errors but it will also show that you are mature and honest. CLEARLY AND CONCISELY explain to them that if they are ok with the idea of using phone calls for communication because I think that people like me and you explain ourselves better on a ticking clock or live speaking.

I asked my English teacher about this and she says that we go on and on and on and we don't know when to stop, as I have done in this response...but I am explaining to you :). So try to slow down state your ideas clearly and short. Answer Support and STOP. So next time your writing to them if you decide to go with 1 remember your A.S.S. Answer Support and STOP! :)

On the other hand I can not solve my situation because I think my problem has escalated from a simple e-mail to multiple over the period of 2 years and I think I may possible be facing discrimination. I tried talking to her but I just don't understand her "hate" against me she never gives me the positions I want and its like she's doing it on purpose. But that is me...I still like her for stepping up to the position of summer volunteer coordinator and dealing with approx. 120 volunteers but at the same time she needs to treat us all the same and see that WE are giving our time to them and if were unhappy then its not really making anything better. The TENSION that has built between us is TREMENDOUS I mean :( big time so that's why I urge you to go with option 2.

Keep your head high and remember your A.S.S., if you still feel unhappy and uncomfortable I would suggest you just hold off until your session is over and then never apply or come back but never leave a workplace or volunteer place like that because it will make a remark about your communication skills and immaturity.

Again, hope this helped...feel free to contact me! Im 16 btw.
