What to bring to job shadow?

I have a job shadow starting tomorrow at a city office. I am planning on wearing a business casual outfit, but I don't know what I should bring. I'll probably be meeting people and watching meetings during the day. They didn't say to bring anything in particular, and I don't have any paperwork to bring. Should I bring a notebook or something(or is that too much/eager)?

Yes, take a notebook or preferably a portfolio with a notepad. Make sure you take a pen too.
