What should i do this summer?

This summer i desperately want to finally have the summer that everyone talks about. where you stay home and do nothing but be with friends and such. This sounds amazing but on the other hand i feel that i should get a job, i already work once or twice a week for my parents company but i need money. My friends are also supposedly getting jobs but i really dont want to. Im 16 should i just suck it up and get a job or should i have the summer that ive never been able to have where i relax and have fun only.

This is my summer bucket list: http://thesummerlist101.webs.com/

Its basically a list of things I need to do starting June 16th (when I get out of school) up until school starts again (late august/early September).

Along with blogging about my mini-adventures, there will be video and photo updates. Keep tabs, because updates will be made every few days!

Good luck :)

You should work it is great experience. Being one of those typical teenagers that just waste their summer at their house watching tv and doing nothing, are bums later in life.

Im 17 and have a summer job, im doing alot for the summer, Im involved in alot of sports/activities, volunterring, charity, and im also going to summer school to get ahead. Im going to a pre-collegiate program later on this summer, and Im having a good time working.

Im also having fun with friends like going outdoors hiking, swimming stuff like that. Why wouldnt you want to work? It beats staying in the house all alone doing nothing, or being lazy.

You learn great skills, plus you get paid! You make new friends, its great. In august though im going on vacation, I planned my summer working, and the last month to just relax.

Its a good balance. I think you should do that too. Work now but play later on in the summer.
