What should I say when I call about my application tomorrow?

Ok, so I applied on line at Target. I REALLY want a job! But I'm 16, I have a friend my age who works there. But I'm also really nervous! I don't have any previous work experience, and I'm not exactly sure what to say when I call there tomorrow. Does anyone have a clue how to go about this? I know the whole shpeel about " Hi, I'm Philip, I'm calling in regards about the application I put in yesterday" But after that i'm completely lost. AND also, do you think i should wait a little longer than calling the day after I applied? Is that coming on a little to strong, or does it show i'm eager? I DON'T KNOW!!! Anyways, how should i go about this.?

You should give it a couple of days, they probably get a lot of applications (especially since summer just started) and they will need time to look through them all |

Call anyway day after or not!! Only When U call ASK for Personal, Yes U of course introduce Urself, Only when U Do IT's 1st AND last name ok. also try getting familiar with them (there answer about Ur app maybe they haven't got it Yet) U, In Ur Most (this person & i have known each other 10yrs) Voice ask U R more Familier with this Process then me what the time line Im looking @. they will answer but once the conversation has come 2 an end DO NOT HANG UP B4 YOU GET THAT PERSON's NAME! Better Yet ASK WHO WILL B DOING THE INTERVIEWING? Keep the names where u can find them, for that return call. Now the return call. when Personal Answers U request to speak to THAT interview PERSON! 1 by doing this it LEAVES THE IMPRESSION THEY KNOW U! ( u must know each other ) 2nd If that person isn't available more then likely the person u spoke with is the person on the ph, promptly ask to speak with??? in doing it in this manner the impression is U Familiar! People R more ready make things available to Familiars! Ie: telling u when best time to call back etc. Good Luck!! |
