I want a summer job and i am 14.. i'll be 15 in the summer. i dont want anything that requires a specific skill. i am good with little kids though, and i can make food okay, i am polite to adults, and i am moderately organized. thanks soo much :)

There are lots of potential issues for minors in work, many of them law-related, moms and dads have to be vigilant about that. There is lots of assistance from the resource in the box below on this subject, they also have assistance for all peeps who are searching for work, or who have to change careers. |

I agree with Cason, your parent(s) will need to be careful because the child labor laws can be pretty strict especially if you're 14 - 15. You will have limited, restricted hours. Often you will need a work permit. Depending on the exact federal law or state law, you might not even be able to work at a place that serves alcohol. |
