What is the best way to apply for a part-time job?

I have applied and re-applied and applied again for about a million places on the internet over the past two or three monthes with absolutly no reply (well, I did get an interview at this one place but it was like an interview with five other girls who were about ten years older and all with past experience, so I don't think I will be hearing back from them, lol). So I have officially given up on internet applications. I am assuming that they never actually read them as there are probably about 5 billion others so they just think "We don't really need any more employees" and just click 'delete inbox'. So how can I get my resume actually read? What is the best way or the best time to apply for a job? By a job I mean something like flipping burgers or scanning dishwashing liquid. Something easy at a fast food place or department store or super market. Typical easy teenage job. Any help? I need cash because I am a greedy little kid that has mean parents, haha

Filling out online appliatons does not get you any jobs.

Look through your newspaper's employment ads.

Find out which places have openings.

Apply in person - fill out the application there.

This way the manager will see that you can fill out an application without help, and that you were organized enough to do it.

Also it will show them that you have transportation.

After filling out the application you can shake his/her hand and express your wishes to work there.

I would apply...again. But this time after about a week call or walk-in and talk to the hiring manager about your application. Many of my friends have gotten past jobs with the tactic.
