I am in a job search. What the best methods people are using to find a job that are producing results?

Obviously the internet but also agencies in high street and 'word of mouth'. Put leaflets through doors with your c.v. and each week trawl your nearest industrial estate. |

Any way you can. With the huge number of experienced people who are unemployed, the fact that companies are still laying off, and the total lack of any jobs not involving hamburgers, the old ways no longer work. Go to job fairs, post your resume all over the internet, call head hunters (the few that are still in the business), go through the classifieds every week, send out resumes, drive around industrial parks and walk into any door that has a "hiring" sign. This is NOT the time to settle on "best" - use whatever works. |
