Well, my mother's a teacher, and here's something to think about

-Little kids aren't always nice and sweet, if a kid is sick they can get you sick, some kids may deal with issues at home, parents may get mad at you for "failing" their little sunshine, other teachers can be moody Things of that nature

However, there are benefits like: Good students may just make your day, you DO get time like Summer, Winter, and Spring breaks, as well as holidays off, field trips can be fun for you too, you may be able to have do fun activities that you may even enjoy. Another note is that you will generally be well liked among the kids if you do some fun things, go on field trips, and get them to lunch on time. I mean hey, who doesn't like to be generally liked?

I hope I could help you!

This would actually depend on your qualification and skill set. Since you asked based on income , vacation time , work habits and environment let me answer you :

income - nurses get more than teachers due to nature of work and industry practice

vacation - school teachers have more vacation than nurses, for nurses vacation can be a mirage

work habits / environment - comparatively easy for teachers dealing with kids as to dealing with sick / injured people , day / night shifts, fast paced work place i.e. hospitals and little room for error

Hope this helps.
