Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I had an interview yesterday & the HR lady was actually very nice. I believe the interview went fairly well. If anyone could provide me with an answer that would be great. :) Thanks.

Hi,

1. It is code for - "Don't call us, we'll call you." Don't hold your breath on getting the job.

2. It is literally what it says, When they have finished seeing all the candidates they will call you in a couple of days, and most probably you are on the shorlist as companies won't waste thier money calling back unsuccessful candidates.

In the meantime you should as a general policy still continue to seek employment as that way you are prepared if the meaning was as in 1.

If it is as in 2. then you will either get the position or you will open yourself up to getting another position elsewhere, plus it beats sitting around waiting for the call.

Good Luck.

It usually means they want to speak with other candidates before making a choice.

Personally, when I interview people, if I really like them I'll tell them that I want to see my other options, but they're a very strong candidate. If I'm not very interested I tell them I'll call them.

On a scale of 1-10. 7, I'd say that its a bad thing and they won't call you. The rest is 3. Also apply other places
