Last year I was desperate for a job and I ended up falling for a pyramid scheme. I quit after a week. I have recently applied for a new job and they want exact details about my job history by tomorrow morning. The thing is that this scam company that I worked for never gave me any of the necessary paperwork that I need. I don't even know who I was working for! Should I still list it in my job history?

Don't list that in your job history because you were only there for a week. You just have to explain to that employer that the company you worked at for one week was not proper with their hiring process. You did not fill out any paperwork. You were desperate so you took any job that considered you. But since then you had come to your senses and you're now smart and careful about your job searching. If you explain it like that, I think the employer will understand your situation at that time. But it also depends on how you word it. So just be prepared to answer your situation properly.

So was this your first job? Just say that other than this job, you have no other work experience.

Just tell them what happened and im guessing they will be Okay with it =)

Don't list one week's experience with a pyramid scheme on your application. You'll look like a fool. If you have no job history ... write none. If you had part time jobs babysitting, etc. list them.

A background check is never going to discover one week working for a pyramid scheme company. You never paid any taxes through there. It never happened.
