I would like a career that requires fantastic spelling skills. I am a great speller and I can easily spot out spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. What career should I choose out of these careers:
- Journalism
- Proofreader
- Editor
- Web Content Editor
If you want, tell me what other careers would be suitable for my strengths? If you wish, tell me the advantages and disadvantages of each of these careers?

Spelling is a great skill, but it is only small part of all the jobs you listed. Do some more analysis and make of list of all the things you like and don't like about the jobs you are considering. Then try visualizing yourself performing those tasks on a daily basis. Good spelling and writing are fundamental assets in a lot of jobs. I worked in government and there was always a demand for good writers, lawyer is another option. Do not limit yourself to the standard set of writing jobs, but search a little more to determine what else you like and want to do. Being a good speller and writer can open many doors of opportunity don't limit yourself to the traditional career paths. Good Luck, The PracticaL Mentor. |
