What can I do with myself while I don't have a job?

I just graduated with my undergrad (yay!) a couple of weeks ago, I'm 22. I will be going on to grad school in January but have nothing to do with myself over the next 6-7 months. I have tried everywhere looking for a job and will continue to do so. I applies to the malls, the banks (to be a teller), and lots of babysitting/nanny jobs and have not received one call. It's really hard to just sit around when I want to be doing things. So far I have been watching movies, going online, reading, walking my dog, visiting with friends... but I need something else to do! :(
Have any other unemployed people been through this? What do you do to make yourself feel better?

Volunteer! It's great to build up your resume while you're not working and can be lots of fun, and a great way to meet new people. |

You can volunteer at a pet shelter or soup kitchen or try to look for internships |

Been there and still doing that. i been unemployed for 18 months went back to work and got laid off 7 months later. then found another job and my season ended until sept. and i did the same things you are doing i started working out to change the days and play video games look for work walk around the mall go to the movies in the afternoon by myself which is kinda weird but cool to because no one is there and people are not talking on their phone or kids running around. but it is tough trying to fill your day without work. i hate it, best bet is if you want to workout you could hit it hard for as much time as you could. |
