What's a better way to say "Did the same stuff as before" on a resume?

wordword

Same position... two different jobs.

"Performed the same duties as previously...." and now I'm stuck.

In my resume, my previous job is stated *after* my current job, so I can't say "...as previously stated" because technically, it's later stated....

I almost want to say "Performed the same duties as previously performed" lol..

How should I word this??

Hello,

No. You must not write same as before or "Performed the same duties as previously...." You need to mention each of the work experience separately. Also include your roles and responsibilities for each of them separately.

Since you have two different jobs with same roles and responsibilities, you could slightly rephrase the responsibilities and present each one of your job position separately. Also, you could mention any significant contribution you may have made while doing your job at your previous employer.

The best thing you can do in this situation is:

1. Reword the responsibilities for both the jobs so that they do not appear repetitive. You need not present any false responsibilities instead just try and eliminate redundancy.

2. Highlight your work experience with any achievement or any significant contribution to your previous employer.

Well, in case you run out of words, you can still write the same thing again. Just try to avoid too many similar sounding words appear again and again.

While mentioning your work experience, take care that you mention your jobs in a chronological order with the most recent job first. Also, mention your role , company name and duration of your job with that employer.

Do not do that. Your resume will end up in the round file. Put effort into the list and show more responsibilities in the second job.

I would find a way to re-word the duties so they sound different (even if it was the same in reality). Don't lie on your resume, but try to find a way to describe the duties in a way that makes them sound different from the other job. This will look better to potential employers (because it will present your experience as more diverse) and it will also eliminate the problem of the awkward repeat-wording.
