Hi, I'm 19 years old, have been in college for 2 years and no motivation for my current major in nursing. Sorry, I just don't like hospitals and for some reason I see myself elsewhere. I've been searching but nothing stands out... I would like some options but not common careers that I hear about all the time. I'm interested (in order from most to least) traveling, counseling, interior or fashion design, dance/modeling, cosmetology, photography, and planning events. AND of course I want to make money but I want a fulfilling, rewarding career.

Thank you for any help!

If you posess a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be ahead of the crowd when it comes to hunting for careers. My pal has a degree and he wasn't sure what direction to go with it, but he found some great tips on the resource in the resource box below which aided him to settle that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is loads of assistance on the resource regarding extra careers.

Wow... I was in nursing too and left it because I hated it! I really only did it because my parents wanted me to do it and nurses make a lot of money. But I realized I needed to be happy and I did not want this as a career. Now im 23 and still searching for a degree that I can get a job in that i love. The funny part about your question is that I too love all the things you listed minus modeling. I use to dance and i enjoy planning events/coordinating, traveling, helping people, interior design, and taking pictures! I was looking into Physical Therapy but Im still not sure what I want to get a bachelors in! :( So yeah Im in pretty much the same boat as you, the advantage you have is that you are very young so you have a lot of time left to figure something out. If you havent finished your generals you could do that while trying to decide what you want for a degree. Well good luck and hope you find something you love that makes you happy!
