I live in California and I was wondering if I'm still gonna get a check? I had barely started my 1st extension and received 3 checks in total. I haven't received a check in 3 weeks and I'm concern if I'm getting one or not. Who qualifies still and who doesn't? I tried calling but no answer or no letter in the mail.

I just got my continuing claim forms yesterday. I haven't gotten a check in 6 weeks, so I know what you're going through. Unfortunately, the UI dept has to file extensions for all the people who got dropped until Congress passed the recent legislation, they have to update their computers, they have to send out the forms and they have to issue checks. It may take another week until you get your continuing claim forms. As soon as they show up, fill them out and return them. Then you'll eventually get back on schedule. And in case you were wondering, they're working 7 days weeks at the UI dept trying to get everything done.

Myself I am of the opinion that letters are excellent, providing they are written utilizing excellent syntax and spelling (always use a spall chocker!).
