Trying to schedule an interview with an unresponsive recruiter?

Category: Other

I interviewed for a restaurant job last Saturday, and out of over a hundred applicants, I was chosen to move past the third round of interviews that day. They told me I'd be contacted after the weekend by someone who worked for the company that owns the restaurant for my final interview. I finally received an email asking me when I'd be available for an interview this week on Tuesday night. I told the recruiter that I was available the next day (Wednesday) and today (Thursday). However, she never responded to me. I definitely can't make it tomorrow (Friday) because I have two interviews in the middle of the day. What should I do? Should I wait until next week? Should I email her again? I really, really want/need this job, but I don't want to come off as too desperate or pushy.

You should also tell the recruiter that you are thrilled to be in the final round, and that you have appointments on Friday and can't reschedule. You should let them know that because you had not heard back from them that you have not rescheduled your Friday appointments, and would certainly want to find another time that works. Be professional, friendly and engaging. it's a restaurant and if you interviewed for a customer facing position, they are going to want someone who is exactly that - friendly.
