Tires Got Slashed at Work?

My husband's tires got slashed by one of his coworkers (he knows who but has no valid proof; it's happened in the past too.) during work hours and couldn't go to work on Sunday because of it. He called his manager and his manager told him they'd address it on Tuesday, when my husband got back. By addressing it, my husband figured they'd talk to the other salesman about it. Well, it's Tuesday and my husband is now being threatened a write up because his other manager thinks he stayed home on purpose because it was my birthday. Believe me, that wasn't his intention. I was sleeping when he barged back into our bedroom, pissed off about his two flat tires. We only have one spare for his SUV and his job is 25 minutes away. To get there, you have to drive on the highway. How is that safe or even possible?
This isn't fair. The other manager is actually telling my husband he wants him transferred to another store now. My husband is their number one salesman. The manager he spoke to Sunday adores him.
What can we do?
