Alright right now Im pretty desperate to make some money.. I dont really have the time bc of school to go and apply to work at some grocery store or crappy fastfood place..I really love animals so my idea was to put up signs saying that I would walk your dog, give it a bath, or just baby sit it for a while. Do you think people would actually call and pay me for my help?

Please give me some ideas on this.. do you think it would work? how much should i charge??... just any ideas would be helpful right now. thanks

I've a good experience using the job search site http://www.Hound.com. There are numerous advantages to finding jobs from employer career pages but the main ones are (1) these are not advertised and receive fewer applications and (2) there is no middleman (recruiter) forwarding your resume to the employer and (3) there are more jobs on employer career pages than job boards. Hound rated as one of the Top 20 Best Job Search Sites by PC Magazine. Hound ranked as the #1 Job Site by Applicant.com. Hound amongst the 10 Best Online Job Search Sites says geeksugar.com. Hound recommended as one of the Top 10 job websites for job seekers by Quintessential Careers. Hound is a powerful search engine that scans the websites of employers for jobs, and then gathers all of these jobs and puts them on its site. It shows you jobs no one knows about and when you apply to these jobs you are often the first and only freaking applicant that the employer has ever seen. Hound has more jobs from employers on it (by a huge margin) than any other job site in the world”by far.

Hound gives you ....

1. Jobs from employer websites

2. More employer (not recruiter) jobs than any site in the world

3. The only employer website job search engine

Unadvertised jobs that no one knows about

It could work, but here's something you can start now.

This site pays out daily so you can see right away that it works, and there's tons of proof on the site.

I use this site to make a little extra money online. There are endless ways to make money on this site including signing up for free offers, completing surveys and clicks, playing games against other members, competing in weekly lotteries, and much more.

Signup is free, and unlike other sites that make you work to a minimum amount before they'll pay you, this site will pay you daily. You can get paid through Paypal, check, or you can use your earnings to order off of Amazon (anything you want) because this site is linked up to Amazon.com.

If you're skeptical, number one, if this wasn't legit Amazon wouldn't partner with them. But if you're still unsure you can create an account and right there on the site is a chat room filled with real users, and even administration of the site so they can tell you just how this does work! You can also click anyone's user name in the chat to see their up to date earnings, check someone with gold status or above.

I think the best way to go about any new project is to look at what other successful people have done; in your case this is dog walking/dog sitting and care. You need to consider a few things that many 16-year-olds may need help thinking through.

#1 - What type of relationship do you have with your neighbors [and do they have dogs that need walking].

#2 - How 'safe' are you going into other people's houses that you do not know, in that neighborhood.

#3 - How familiar are you with training dogs and knowing 'what to do' when things go wrong [like another dog attacking the dog you are taking care of which I have seen twice in the last month living in a high volume dog-walking area across the street from a park].

#4 - Most people will not sue you or your parents if there is a problem, but can a 16-year-old get insurance [a bond] or is there a potential 'liability' to your parents?

If you are dealing with close friends/family friends and or relatives etc., this is not a typical problem, but with 'strangers', they can be as protective with their dogs as with children in many cases. Problems 'can' end up in a small claims court [like their animal being hurt] and it could get 'ugly' [this actually happened to me when volunteering dog walking for a local shelter and 'rescue' animals].

Aside from those somewhat heavy-handed considerations, going door-to-door or putting up a flier around a park area migh be OK [this too can be a city ordinance so don't do too many at once and get a ticket].

If your parents agree, look for opportunities for them to meet people that you work for, creating some accountability for them and you in a community relationship [for your safety].

Other than that, any first aid for animals, care and instruction and dog training/understanding like 'The dog whisperer' or Dr. Matthew Margolis [google these] dog trainers, walkers etc. on the web should give you a lot of good ideas.

Look for a small $5 per 20 minute type charge to get started [most people just want the dog to get enough activity/stimulation/exercise to pee/poop..so make sure you find ways to do that that you can live with].

If you have a website it is pretty easy. If you don't just create something up on the net. Like a blog or whatever.

When you have that, just go to http://CheckDavid.com and click on the first link on the left menu bar, it will send you to AdCM, which is an advertising network. What you do is put advertisements on your website, and you will make money for each and every click. To do that you will just have to signup and you will have all the instructions after that.

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores.

Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer.

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.
