Should i take this job offer?

I am 19 years old. i live in georgia with my parents and sister. i don't have many friends. i basically just work somewhere i don't want to, at a daycare with children who are awful. but i still like children. im not in school yet. i pay my car note, phone bill, etc. i was offered a job the other day. my step fathers friend just moved to myrtle beach. he is living right off of the beach. he needs someone to watch his son while he is at work. but during the day his son will be at school. i can sign up for school there and everything. id be right by the beach and even have my own room. he said he would pay me accordingly. it sounds great. like a good way for me to become responsible and do things on my own. it would be an experience for me since i have never left home. but im still worried about missing my mom and not knowing anyone, worried about moving somewhere where i don't know the area. ive never even been there yet. i just don't know what to do. do you think i should do it? you think im worrying too much.

Do what you feel will be best for you. Maybe you should schedule a time to go down and visit the area to see if you like the weather, people, town, etc. You will meet people who you like, and you could have a great time. You only live once, take a risk. :) |
