I'm going to the military in august and its mid june already should i still get a job or just wait till i leave?

and can i work for like only a month? since im leaving soon? if so what kind of jobs can i get?

If you REALLY need the money, then yea why not work? But I think you should enjoy this free time and spend time with family and friends. Time goes by pretty fast so why not have fun. Good luck with everything. =)

Good luck sir. I would just use this time for fun YOU time... because once your gone, the government controls YOU time.

Searching for a job is tricky, especially if it's years since you previously did it! I was jobless recently, but I stumbled upon the website in the box below which is very helpful in many ways. By following their tips, in a month or so I soon got myself a job.

First of all, thank you for your service. You're appreciated!

If you need the money, I would suggest humble employment, such as mowing lawns, etc from now until you are deployed. Unfortunately, I cannot see an employer being willing to hire you for just a month or so.

However, if you can afford it, you might be better off just soaking up your home town for the next six weeks. If this is Basic, and then AIT, you're going to be gone a long time. If it's deployment, a year at the least. Live your life to the fullest right darned NOW!
