Should i leave my job? and if so what should i do?

I'm 20 years old and have been working at Mcdonald's for 10 months full time, in that time i won employee of the year after just working for 4 months out of 130+ staff, and also became a manager and im currently still doing training as a manager,

I have made a very strong resume and i have a fair amount in savings for a 20 year old and I feel that its time to move on, because im not gaining anything from it anymore, should i stick with it till the end of the year though? I want to join the police force and a lot of the things i learned from macca's i can carry across, but im still fairly young for it so what kind of jobs should i try to get in the meantime with my resume?

i dont want to be a bum sitting on my *** in between jobs if i leave macca's

Never leave a job unless you have already another to go too. It's always easier to find/get a job whilst you are in employment rather than unemployed. My advice to you is finish your training in Management because you will have a Cert IV or Diploma of Management, this will look great on your CV and will show any prospective Employer that you are dedicated and will complete any task that is put before you. Good luck with the police force

Find some contacts and consider where you might go first, as a backup net in case you don't find one and still want your job. CArry your head high, for you are a younger worker and therefor more prized in many cases. If you live in the U.S. things are still pretty hard when it comes to finding a job, so look for opportunity first. But above everything else consider this, are you happy where you work and will you be happy where you decide to work? If you just want more money, it will come back to haunt you.

Continue working and look into the police academy to see what the requirements are. You have been training as management which has been for a very short time. After moving up in the ranks so quickly you shouldn't leave after 6 months.

Once you find out what the requirements are the for the police force, then decide what you need to do. Don't leave your job until you have something definite. It doesn't look good to show 4 months as an great employee that moved to a management position only to quit after 6 months. I would think that you couldn't handle the responsibilities of the job if you quit without going directly to something better.

Congrats on having the recognition of being an employee of the year, to move to management, and to have a fair amount of savings for a 20 year old.
