Should I work for this?

I was thinking about working over the summer to raise $400-$600 (or possibly more) to buy an Xbox 360, an Ethernet cable, some Microsoft points, and some Xbox Live credit.

Should I work at a grocery store (Pet Smart or Food Lion) or a convenience store/gas station (Sheetz or Exxon)? What are all of you're opinions?

I'm going to speak with some bias on this question.

I have been an employee at Sheetz for almost two years now, and I absolutely love working there. I make 8.75 USD an hour with a raise coming next month. Even working 20 hours a week, you could easily bring in 1000 USD over the summer. However, I would recommend that working at a convenience store does come with its drawbacks - including dealing with the sometimes moronic general public and the possibility of robbery. With that said, though, I love the people I work with at Sheetz as well as the working environment there.

Depends on your age. The PetSmart I worked at only hired 18+ and most gas stations or convenience stores prefer eighteen-year-olds because of how few people work there so you may not be able to get your breaks.

I'd consider working for it, but I'd personally save up for something larger like a car if I were you.
