Should I tell a prospective employer that I plan on keeping my current job?

Category: Other

I am currently looking for a second job. Second being the key word. Would telling a prospective employer this make them less likely to hire me due to possible conflicts with time or something along those lines? Though I fully plan to make sure that my availability for both jobs do not interfere.

Unless you are in complete control of the first job, hope may be a better word than plan in your final sentence and we all can see how much "hope" has improved the Bush economy. It may be better to concentrate on your qualifications with emphasis on the length of time you have been on this current schedule. Good Luck.
