Just remember that your going to do ONE THING, and that's making money.

Walk in there with a smile on your face and try to get to know everyone...

I'm sure after the first day it's not as awkward the next time.

Problem I'm having with this question is that you haven't stated what you're working as, what's making it so troublesome to start work on Friday, and whether or not your employer may be strict or lenient. Oo

Dont say no, you need to face your fears otherwise you will always turn away from them, hey we all feel the same starting a new job, but remember everyone who is working had a 1st day too...you get yourself there and then if you dont like it at least you tried it :)

Why go for the job in the first place!!

You have a job to do so get over yourself and "Do It"!!

Yes, go to work on Friday!! The earlier you do it the better so no more of your nonsense can creep into your head!!

If you say no, you might be waiting another 6 months for the next job offer

WALK IT OFF!

Two questions...why are you nervous and why wouldn't you want to start work on any day of the week? I hate to be the bearer of the obvious, but you can count yourself among the fortunate to have a job offer right now. My humble suggestion is that you get your energy (and your confidence) up, get to work on Friday bright and early, and show your employer that they made the right decision in hiring you! Good Luck!

Of course you're nervous, that's natural. But bite the bullet and go in, then you can enjoy your weekend and know that on Monday it won't be your first day, and the nerves won't be as bad. Good luck.
