Should I say something or just not go. Please help?
I started working at a day care 2 days ago. Its nothing like I thought it would be---not that i thought I wouldnt have to change diapers and all that, no i expected that--The job position isnt what i thought it would be. Basically I work for 2 hours no pick up trash and close the place down. 2 hours a day 5 days a week. It sucks im not gonna make any money and the job is not flexible plus they treat me like crap they havent given me a unioform and they dont tell me when im going to work next..i just asume its every day. So i decided to look for another job and im hoping ill get hired at golds gym cause theyre hiring. So I need to know if I should just not show uo cause im definetely quitting but its only been two days..so should I still give a notice or just not go. remember its only been 2 days...ive worked a total of 4 hours. honestly I dont think its worth it

Give them notice. a no call no show looks REALLY bad on your future applications |

Don't be a no call/no show. If you don't want the job quit. |

Call them and tell them you are quitting and tell them why so they will know they cannot keep employees under these circumstances. No one wants to travel to a place only to work 2 hours. With gas prices, it really doesn't pay. |

What I would do, is keep going until you have secured another job. Who knows what may happen? You could not get another job, this one may get better, but either way, it's a tough economy. I'd try to stick it out for a few more days. Something may happen to make things better. |

prettty is as pretty does <3 |
No i wouldn't continue to work there yeah you should go to the place and tell them you are quitting because that is nice manners;) and then look for another job..cause it's not worth it. |

I'm not going to advise you to give notice, as in "I'll keep working here for 2 weeks, then start my new job," but you should AT LEAST give them a phone call to tell them that you won't be back. A day or two notice would be even better. That is the very minimum decent thing to do. Do you want them opening the doors one morning to a bunch of needy children and be short-handed just because you couldn't pick of a phone? That is just so lame on so many levels, not to mention unfair to innocent children who are the ones who will really be stiffed by your actions. |
