Should I quit or be fired from a hostile work environment created after I was threatened by a coworker?

I was threatened by a coworker. After reporting this incident I was suspended as well as the coworker. I no longer feel safe working alone with him, I have offered to switch shifts numerous times. My boss says that if I don't work with him then I will be terminated. They are now writing me up for everything! Should I just quit now or wait to get fired?

Yeah its not ur fault. sue the company or whatever. if they;re gunna kick you out make them regret it. make them pay u compensation. also let them fire you cuz then you get compensation. but id say first try taking it to HUman resources, then if that doesnt work a boss higher than your own. if not then sue. you can always sue.

Don't quit, make them fire you.

Also, file a police report on being threatened. Leave a paper trail.

If u need the return of payback from company, you have to wait for being fired..

If you are not care of the payback, and cant stand for the situation anymore, you should quit

Go to someone higher than your boss if you can.

If you don't have that option then quit. I don't know what kind of threat your coworker made to you, but if it involved him harming you in any way, he might make that threat a reality, and no job is worth your life.

And also you don't need that kind of stress at work.

Okay, first thing: They are doing a ton of illegal stuff right now. Look up laws in your state and, if you want, let them know that what they're doing is not okay.

Second, quit! You will probably want to use this job as a reference for other jobs. Getting fired always looks bad, regardless of the situation. Quitting and finding a new job will a) allow you to leave an unpleasant (and dangerous) work environment, b) help you find something better, c) allow you to use the job as a reference to show that you have experience in the workplace but leaves you room to explain what happened, and d) lets you leave those shitty people behind.

I'm so sorry that they have made you be in such an unpleasant work environment! That is awful! Good luck figuring out what you're going to do.
