Should I call to see that Chick Fil A received my application?

I gave it two weeks ago-
is it just a nuisance to call and speak to the manager or does it show i really want the job?
i don't want to be a pest.

Usually, the standard wait time to call on the status of an application is 1 week. So you calling after two weeks is more than enough time. It shows that you want the job, interested in working there ASAP, and are a mature candidate because you approached them. I would say give them a call and ask for a manager. Then go from there. Call once. See what they say. But don't keep calling if they are not interested now. Apply at other places. |

It shows you really want the job. When I put my application in 2 years ago I kept going back every month to check on my application and too see if there was a job available, about 10 months after I put in my application I got hired, I have now been working at Chick Fil A for a year. |

Got the manager's name? Call or go in and ask for her or him by name, and let the manager know you are very interested. Check once a month in person. Always be cheerful, neat and clean when you go in. Chickfila is a very popular employer as they pay well for fast food and are closed Sundays. Good Luck! |
