Should I call the store about my application?

I recently applied to the Sunglass Hut in the mall. The employee said it was good that I turned it in when I did because the manager would be in the next night to look over it. I turned it in on Friday, but have not received a call. I don't have much experience (babysitting and stallhand-as well as some other small side things), so is that maybe the reason he didn't call? Although the employee also said one guy just left-either fired or quit, I'm not sure, so they have an opening I'm pretty sure. This store doesn't receive many customers, so I'm thinking there weren't many applicants either.
So, I'm wondering if I don't hear back, should I call or go in to ask the status of my application? Thank you :)

Definitely call in and ask about your application! i used to be a retail manager and seeing someone take the initiative to call in and ask showed me that they really wanted the job. Call and ask for the manager or assistant manager and then ask about the application. Best of luck! |

In person is always the best option. If you can't make it, call. Employers love to see initiative in their potential employees. |

Yes! Call them everyday! Be persistent. The point is that you really want this job, and you want them to know that. Call tomorrow and say, "Hey, just wondering if you have a job for me today..." Better yet, go in and ask in person. Show them that you are willing to do most anything for the job. |
