Should I be worried about my unemployment check?

So I got laid off of work back in January and I've been getting checks from the unemployment agency. When I got my interview over the phone the man asked me when my last day of school was(which is next week) and he said I was getting my last check on the 23rd. But on the stub it says I still have 2500. Should I be worry that they will cut my check next week? I still haven't been successful at finding a job. My step dad and my friends said they wont cut my check until my stub says 00.00 which it still doesnt.

So you think they will cut my check? California, well the part that I live has NO WHERE to work =[

The Government has extended the benefits for people that are on unemployment. As long as your benefit amount is still showing an amount that you still have in your account then they will not cut it. They will let you know what your final date is once you use all of your benefit money. Also if it is coming to an end you need to make sure that you contact them for an extension on your benefits.
