I just filled out, like, four job applications for restaurants and department stores, and I've been calling them and waiting for them to call me. I'm SO scared about the whole interview process and what it has to bring. This is my first job (I'm 20 years old, a late-bloomer). I just want to know what to do. EVERYTHING is making me nervous.

Where are interviews usually held (like what room)? So I won't walk in with that on my mind. Who do I ask to speak to for my interview? Stuff like this is what boggles my mind...

Lacking basic knowledge about this stuff is kinda why I'm a late bloomer (I fear the unknown). I really want to get this right; I'm in DESPERATE need of a job, and I don't want to mess anything up. Plus, I have SO much to prove to my myself, my family, and friends who think I can't do it.

Please, please HELP!

1st calm down, the people that are doing the interviews had to go through interviews themselves to get to where they are, do not forget that, they are human and know you are nervous.

Walk in naturally as if you are greeting someone you know, shake their hand, say your name then say, I really like your store, the atmosphere is so friendly on walking in, they will like the instant compliment. When they offer you a seat, say thank you and wait for them to be seated first, they will normally sit in front of their desk so they can take notes.

Then, wait until they ask you a question and then answer calmly, honestly, if you do not know something, admit it, you could also say, sorry if I am not coming across too well, this is my first interview and I am a little nervous, they will appreciate your honesty.

Be honest again about lack of experience but state that you are so willing to learn as you like to learn new things and grow within the company that offers you a chance at employment.
