Quitting my summer job?

I'm working at daycare, the same thing I did last year. I'm 15 now. For a long while I've been very avoiding of people, and now I think i might have a chronic case of social anxiety disorder. I didn't really have much of a problem taking care of the children before but now I have a lot of inhibitions when working with them and am very timid on the job in general, and i know the teachers at the daycare realize that. It's only been 3 days and I'm already ready to leave. I was wondering if I could switch my job or if I could just tell my supervisor I quit, which wouldn't be an easy thing for me. I don't really think I'm going to grow out of this behavior soon because I acted like that pretty much all throughout my first year of high school. I know I seem whiny because I'm thinking of quitting over such a small thing but I really don't feel comfortable there in that environment. How should I quit or should I try and stick it out until the end? I also feel kinda bad because the daycare is split into different age groups, and only me and another girl work with the 3 year old children, and i'll feel bad if I have to leave her by herself.

Hmm, i think it would be helpful to talk with the daycare director about your condition. surely, she'll know what to do. it isn't easy to talk about, but you have to let it out and seek support!

they may get the police involed and you wont work with any kids again but a least you'll have quit =)

You can either

a. Try to work through at and gradually become more outgoing through hard work and determination.

or

b. Take the easy way out and quit.

A lot of people,even full grow adults would kill to be in your position right now. the economy is very tough right now and people have bills to pay and children to feed. if you feel like this job isn't for you then go up to the manager and tell them you do not feel you have the right charisma to work with children and people all day long. But good luck trying to find another job at 15. They are scarce.
