Question about the walmart hiring process..?

So, I've had 2 interviews so far, 2nd one was today, the lady said she would call me in for a 3rd one(drug test) after my reference check and background check went through. I'm just wondering would they tell me that if they really weren't considering hiring me? Or do they only tell that to people who they really want to work there? A few people said that when they say they're gonna drug test you, that means you've basically got the job. So I'm just anxious, I really want this job. :) I know I'll pass the drug test, and background test, never done any drugs or drank alcohol, and never been in any kind of trouble.

I'd say more than likely you'll get the job. Congrats. my hiring process was... a little different than normal. They actually had me do the second interview immediately after the first interview. A week or so went by until I got a phone call.... but it wasn't the Walmart that I applied to/took the interview. It was another Walmart in the area calling me in for an interview. I went in and they asked me a few questions.... must've been 5 minutes AT MOST, and then they sent me to do the drug test, followed by a job offer after I passes. They never told me, but I'm guessing that for whatever reason I wasn't needed at the one I applied to, so they recommended me to the other Walmart which wound up hiring me. LOL I always found the whole thing a bit weird. |

If they already told you that they're going to set up a drug test then they have to go through with it. If everything goes well then it looks like you have a job! :) |
