Question about job interview..?

I live in temecula California and I was doing a whole bunch of applying. I saw best buy was hiring so I dropped a line. They called me back for an interview so I was excited for that. I went and did the interview everything was great. I waited for their call and didn't hear from them for 5 days so I figured I didn't get the job. During those 5 days my mom decided that we'd be moving to Vancouver Washington at the end of July! Out of nowhere best buy calls me in for a second interview! My question, should I tell then off the bat that I'm leaving at the end of the month or should I work for them and then tell them after 2 weeks?

Tell them you'd love to work with them but unfortunately your leaving, ask if they could possibly give you a referral to best buy in Vancouver.

Tell them. you don't need to waste their time! just be certain that you are moving because if your not it's a waste of a job!

This may sound shitty, but I'd probably work there for a few weeks and make some bucks. I'm assuming you're in school, so why not.

It's up to you what you want but I work in management and do hiring and sorry but if your leaving in 2 weeks i wouldn't hire you just for the fact all the paperwork and training and it'll be 2 weeks before your social # is even in the payroll system. So most likely if you tell them you won't get hired

Go in for the second interview but, tell them the situation, and see if you could interview with a store manager in Washington.

It depends on what kind of reputation you want. Best Buy will survive if you take the job then leave in a month. But it won't look good on your resume. Leaving a job after one month is a red flag to most employers, and you'll always be asked about it.

Only you can decide if the money today is worth more than the hassles down the road.

Your reputation is everything. You don't want to burn your bridges with Best Buy. There is one in Vancouver. I agree with the answer that you should tell the interviewer your plans, and ask for a referral to the Vancouver store.
