Question about a question.?

I had filled out an application to work in a pet store yesterday. The interview went well and I was offered the position. However, on the questionaire there was a question about "if we were to drug test you, would you comply" and I checked 'yes'. Since I was already offered the job does that mean that they will drug test me?

I smoke marijuana occasionally and will come up positive if tested.

I personally do not see how my marijuana use would impact my ability to work in the store at all and see it as a violation of my own privacy and body. As what I do in my spare time is my business alone.

Anyways, any informative answers would be appreciated. thanks

If they ask to test you, let them. If they find marijuana in your system and choose not to hire you, so be it.

Just let nature take it's course and of course you had to answer yes to that question for obvious reasons.

Chances are they may never test you at all.

Good luck.

Andrew.

If you see a drug test as a "violation of your own privacy and body" then you should have checked "no" as your answer to that question.

Now if they offer you the job with the condition that you take the test, you'll have to decide whether you want to take the test or walk away. Your own personal opinions about marijuana use do not enter into this situation. It's the pet store's opinion that counts.

I smoke marijuana and always use synthetic urine that you get from head shops for drug testing (employment purposes only!!!!). works every time.
