Pre-employment and Credit Report?

I've been receiving emails from a lot of company that saw my resume online. They sent me emails telling me that I am qualified and they want to have an interview with me. However they require me to submit a credit report before they call me and set up a date and time to meet up. They all giving me a specific website where I could check my credit score.
Now my question is, is this really necessary? And National Credit Report a scam website? or legit?

Do not do that. There are so many ientity theft scams going on at the moment regarding fake credit reports. Theres no job, they just want you to enter all of your personal and financial information on a site that may have been created a few weeks ago. No company requires a credit report before they interview you. Tell them you have your own credit report and will bring it to the interview, then if you want a credit report go to a legitimate bureau like Equifax or Transunion and get one. But never send this info to anyone. If they are legit they will allow you to bring your own credit report to the interview |
